I passed my first course!

Study & Test Tips
This was my first experience taking an online course and I must say that it was really enjoyable and convenient. To be quite honest, I thought it would be very dry and boring, however, the course was surprisingly fun. All the illustrations and cute examples were able to capture my full attention. I guess the most difficult thing was getting use to going back to school after all these years. I was a bit nervous and anxious to see how I would do but had a great time going through this experience. The first course I took was Financial Key Terms and it cut straight to the point and the examples and scenario's were very helpful in the learning process. The course is also not too long and seems to be just long enough so that you don't feel overloaded with information when you are done. I took very good notes while taking this first course and then realized that the course already had notes, however, like I was telling Shannon, it actually worked out better this way because taking these notes helped me to remember the information better. I guess it all depends on how each individual learns. Taking the final assessment was a very funny experience for me. Knowing that it would be timed and not having taken a course in 10+ years, I freaked myself out and rushed through and panicked! I failed the first time simply because I panicked. I took a deep breath and took it again the next day and passed. My advice to all new students is to take some time and get to know the site well and all the options that are available. This will really help out when you are taking the course. My favorite part of this experience is how convenient it is, how much better can it be to do this on your own time, your own pace and in the convenience of your own home, can't beat that! |
